CTS Safety attended the latest INITA meeting of 2025

Date: 07.10.25

It’s been a couple of weeks since CTS Safety attended the latest INITA meeting of 2025, and we wanted to share some of the key takeaways from this valuable event.

In addition to the usual technical forum—where essential updates and information were shared—attendees benefited from four highly informative presentations:

  1. Emma Thompson, Executive Director at the Society of Operations Engineers, opened the session with a compelling presentation on the benefits of membership and professional registration, highlighting how these can support professional development and industry recognition.
  2. Alistair Reid, a member of the MHE12 Committee, followed with a comprehensive BSI update on BS7980 – the Code of Practice for Vehicle Lifts, covering installation, maintenance, thorough examination, and safe use.
  3. Ian McGregor, Technical Director at Orona Lifts, delivered a presentation on product updates and recent changes within Orona’s lift systems, providing insight into evolving technology and compliance.
  4. To close the conference, Jamie Davies BEng (Hons), CEng, MiMechE, HSE Principal Specialist Inspector (Mechanical Engineering), gave a thought-provoking session on LOLER & PSSR consultations and what INITA and its members may need to consider in light of upcoming changes.

CTS Safety values these opportunities to stay informed, contribute to important discussions, and ensure we remain at the forefront of industry developments.
